ENDY MOIN | drums | percussions | drum programming | backing vocals |
From childhood, Endy's Navajo mother would tell him stories of Tłʼéhonaaʼéí, the White Shell Girl who became the Moon and ruler of the night; and on Endy's 7th birthday, his father took him to Santa Barbara's Palmer observatory. Both parents sparked a lifelong passion for the night sky and space science. For years Endy dreamed of nothing but distant stars, the Moon, and fictional wormholes. On his 11th birthday, the gift of a beginner's drumkit split Endy's allegiances and he quickly became obsessed with paradiddles and nailing the perfect shuffle.
Endy's favorite drummers include Homar Hakim, Stewart Copeland, Manu Katché, and the much missed Jeffrey Porcaro.
When not playing music, writing music, listening to music, or stargazing through the night, Endy can be found relaxing with a book and his dog at his Southern Californian beach house.
Endy has a penchant for vintage band t-shirts (his favorite is Blondie's 1977 tour shirt), but he asks fans to kindly refrain from sending him more, and to donate to their local ecological societies instead. Shirts sent to Endy are passed on to Adalita's Youth Shelter.
