BEN PORTER | bass | percussions | backing vocals |

As one of the most in-demand session bass players in Los Angeles, Ben was recruited for the recording of SkyDusters' debut album, and was asked to join the band permanently after the first day. His song Revellers, from SkyDusters' second album Stunnas, is a fan favorite which Ben wrote in thirty minutes while taking a break from a particularly noisy but dull music awards afterparty.

SkyDusters' tradition of covering another artist's song on each of their albums came from Ben: he was dying to play Lenny Kravitz's Let Love Rule as often as possible, and suggested they record it for their debut album. For his next cover suggestion, Ben is eyeing tracks on which either Graham Mabe or Nathan East have played.

If you're lucky, you may spot Ben at an open mic at L.A.'s Baked Potatoe.

Ben is an ardent, biased, lifelong Lakers supporter and loves nothing better than to eat a dirty dog (or two) post-game, which he tries, but doesn't always manage, to burn off with a daily oceanside jog.
